Mechanical Design & Drafting Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Design & Drafting Specialist to provide dedicated remote support to an in-house engineering team for a U.S.-based custom industrial equipment manufacturer. This role focuses on producing accurate, production-ready drawings, improving documentation speed, and maintaining consistency across engineering projects.

• Create Production Drawings: Produce and update 2D drawings from 3D models using Creo for new designs and AutoCAD for legacy projects
  
  
• Ensure Drawing Accuracy: Perform detailed checks for dimensions, tolerances, and compliance with internal standards
  
  
• Maintain Documentation Standards: Help improve drawing templates, documentation practices, and drafting standards
  
  
• Collaborate with Engineers: Clarify design requirements and support timely release of production-ready drawings
  
  
• Manage Design Data: Handle version control and file organization within the Design Data Management (DDM) system
  
  
• Support Remote Collaboration: Communicate clearly and proactively to maintain productivity with the engineering team

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  
  
• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or a similar role
  
  
• Strong proficiency in Creo (highly preferred)
  
  
• SolidWorks experience with willingness to train and transition to Creo
  
  
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for legacy drawings
  
  
• High attention to detail and strong adherence to design standards
  
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
  
  
• Clear communication skills and ability to work independently in a structured environment
